College Recruiting

Patrick Mulcahy and In The Net Soccer Academy have been chosen by At First Glance Corporation to represent New Hampshire Soccer bringing High School Athletes and College Coaches together.

In The Net will identify NH High School soccer players that have the potential to play college soccer, either at the Div. 1, 2, or 3 levels.

In striving to turn college athletic dreams into reality, At First Glance’s goal is to streamline the recruitment process for college coaches and scouts while maximizing exposure opportunities for high school athletes and their families by breaking down geographic barriers in the recruiting process and providing college coaches the information they need on high school athletes interested in playing at the college level.

AFG will assist in putting together a portfolio for the college athlete candidate and help market their achievements, grades, recommendations, stats, and other valuable information that college coaches want to see.

AFG works with a select number of athletes per year and provides one-on-one consultation, which includes a detailed evaluation of a student’s athletic ability and how that applies to different college programs throughout the country. Once the basic skills are determined, AFG works with parents and students to formulate a list of colleges that offer a potential match between an athlete’s academic strengths, athletic skills, and social desires from a school (i.e. location, majors, size.)

At the heart of AFG’s service is the AFG “Virtual Combine,” an innovative CD ROM that contains a complete list of academic and athletic accomplishments as well as live video of individual athletes.  The AFG Virtual Combine gives student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills to college coaches at colleges and universities throughout the country when it is not always possible to play in front of a particular college coach.

AFG is staffed with professional, sports-minded individuals who are aware of the ins and outs of college athletic recruiting. Members of the AFG team include former NHL and University of Maine player, Bob Corkum; ex-New England Patriot and University of Michigan player, Robert Perryman; and former Ohio State University basketball standout, Sean Connolly. All have been through the recruiting process and bring their unique perspectives to the company.
